The village of Hoogeerd is located on a network of cycling routes, allowing visitors to map out their own itinerary through the region between the Meuse and the Waal rivers and the southern part of North Brabant. New: the cycle-ferry trail, a cycling track along the dykes along which at several intervals, cycle ferries are on hand to take you across to the opposite bank. Towns to visit include Nimègue (15 km), Ravenstein (10 km) and Grave (10 km). Tourist attractions in the vicinity include: the Open-air Museum in Arnhem (35 km), Burgers´ Zoo (35 km), the open-air Bible museum (25 km), Africa museum (25 km), Appeltern gardens (10 km).

Hoogeerd is easy to reach by taking the highway A326 to Nijmegen- ´s-Hertogenbosch, exit Niftrik highway A50 ´s-Hertogenbosch-Arnhem, exit Wijchen and followed by Nifrik. highway A73 Germany - Rotterdam, exit Wijchen / ´s Hertogenbosch and followed by exit Niftrik.
